Mercury Filmworks is currently looking for a professional and dynamic individual for the position of Studio Assistant (SA). The SA works directly with the Vice-President, Studio Operations and the Creative Director, Editorial & Brand and provides administrative and event management support to both. This is an entry level position and an excellent opportunity for bright, highly organized and motivated individuals with great attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. The successful applicants will be part of a dynamic team and will contribute meaningfully to the professional image of Mercury Filmworks.

Job Description:

Responsibilities vary widely and on a day to day basis depending on the projects and the priorities as dictated. However, the successful candidate should expect to do a lot of organizing, scheduling, liaising with various departments and stakeholders. The Studio Assistant must be very versatile, willing to roll up their sleeves and do everything from grabbing coffee, cleaning up after an event, and organizing catered working lunches to creating expense reports and updating quality cost reports for review. The successful candidate needs to be enthusiastic, a quick learner, and able to multi-task and communicate effectively.  Accuracy, efficiency and reliability are important requirements.

This is an onsite, part-time office position without a telecommuting provision. Work hours will generally correspond with normal office hours though the successful candidate will be expected to provide occasional support outside of these times. This role could expand to a full-time position in the future.

The SA must convey and inspire a professional and positive image and attitude regarding Mercury Filmworks, its subsidiaries, related parties, and business partners.

Job Requirements:

  • Highly organized
  • Proficient Windows computer skills with emphasis on MS Office, Word, Excel
  • Some Photoshop knowledge
  • Must be exceptionally responsive, reliable, highly organized, extremely detail oriented, and exhibit a strong work ethic
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and be comfortable talking to and working with executive level professionals both internally and externally
  • Must be naturally proactive with the ability to identify important tasks and prioritize them for completion without direction.
  • Must be able to work effectively alone or collaboratively.
